Hi All, Let's get some discourse going on the technical aspects of music. This should be enlightening for all......remember, you can learn something from anyone!

Pete,
thank you for making this resource available to all.
i'm hoping to get answers to a couple of theory questions.
1. is this the correct way to spell poimeniko minore C D Eb F# G A Bb C ?
2. i've heard the harmonic minor scale 'termed' "katharo", and i've heard the natural diatonic minor scale 'termed' "klassiko". are the people who use these terms for these scales using incorrect nomenclature, or are these optional ways of labelling them? thank you, in advance.

Pete, 1. is this the correct way to spell poimeniko minore C D Eb F# G A Bb C ? Yes, that's it.2. i've heard the harmonic minor scale 'termed' "katharo", and i've heard the natural diatonic minor scale 'termed' "klassiko". are the people who use these terms for these scales using incorrect nomenclature, or are these optional ways of labelling them? thank you, in advance. Well, the harmonic minor scale is similarly called armoniko minore in Greek. Natural minor is called diatoniko minore. Of course, a lot of guys call it a lot of different things...but most of them are incorrect. For these kinds of western European scales, I just refer to them by thier European names and forget about the Greek terminology....it just tends to confuse things.
