Anyone using korg keyboards for Greek music? I remember when I was a drummer our keyboard player had an older korg and I really liked the sound of it. I want a keyboard to do taximia and lead parts. Synths, farfisa, vox, arabic sounds, and others for Greek music. I am still new to keyboards and have no idea which ones are good for Greek music. Thanks
Elias

I think you might be interested in the Korg Triton Extreme with the MOSS card. It is very good for taximia. It has that touch and sound that we need for our music.

What do you think of a triton or a korg triton le? They are for sale used all the time on craigslist for under $600. I think I have seen some Greek keyboard players use them.

Yes, the Triton is good...but the MOSS card is a must. Also, the Triton Extreme is much better.

Greetings Panagioti, I have a question for you that I have been wondering about for a couple of years now. My keyboardist has a Triton Studio, and if you are familiar with that board, is there any way to stretch out the sequenced tracks on the fly, so that I can freelance with my fantasia on the bouzouki, or create a medly with other songs of similar rhythym and tempo? I know that you are very knowledgable and talented on the keys and was wondering what you thought?

I'm not very familiar with that keyboard.....I have the Triton Extreme. But, I don't think that this is possible. You might be better off with an arranger-type keyboard for this kind of thing. They are better suited to live style playing. Korg makes some really nice ones with lots of middle eastern styles and sounds.
