Diamantis Hiotis new bouzouki design

I was lucky to see Diamantis Hiotis new bouzouki design with 5 double strings at Christos Tsolis workshop. The 5th string is tuned that way that can play chords like a six strings guitar, looks and sounds great. The inventor and designer is Diamantis Hiotis the son of the giant Manolis Hiotis, inventor of the 4 double strings bouzouki, and the maker is Christos Tsolis. When I herd Diamantis play the instrument I thought, “Wahoo, the future is here”. It’s about time.

Yiasou Panagiotis and welcome to the forum. I'm so glad you shared new of Diamandis' current activities. I hung out with him briefly many years ago in LA and he is definitely an innovator. He also looks a lot like his dad! Please keep us posted on what he's up to.
