very nice clips, i have been told that if Alex had played in Greece he would have had the potential to be one of the best, excellent playing. I am disgusted that in another forum some clown has insulted his playing. And to think this clown is light years behind Alex in his playing.

Yes, I think the Alex is definitely a world-class artist. His command of the instrument and his musical ideas are rare even among most seasoned players in the US or in Greece. There are a handful of guys in the US (most of which I've played with or still play with) who are exceptional masters of the instrument. In Greece, there are a lot of great, solid players, but guys like Alex, Danny, and Nick Tatasopoulos are on a different playing field than even many of the "good" bouzouki players of Greece. They are virtuosi who are not only masters of thier instrument technically...but also masters of improvisation and free interpretation of standard repertoire. This is much more rare. Certain malakes over at Skeezo forum do not have the intellectual capacity to even appreciate players like this....they are so steeped in thier own BS that they only feel threatened by the intensity of guys like Alex, Nick, or Danny. Most of these Skeezo trolls are still struggling with the chords to Frangosiriani (if they can even play at all)!! Thier flamings are certainly not to be taken seriously. Alex is great and that's why I wanted to post some videos of his playing on our humble forum. Unlike Skeezo, this forum is HEAVILY moderated! Thanks for the post!

I saw those videos and was very impressed. Alex is a great bouzouki player. People on Skeezo and Playbouzouki sometimes are just ridiculous. They like one player and will say anything bad they can about someone who is better than them. My father first met Alex about 30 years ago and he was already a great bouzouki player.
