How about let's share some of our favorite recordings and midi files of ourselves or other keyboardists we like. There is some great talent in this forum!

Mike/Psarras....
Great job.... You also are very talented... the music reminds me of the 80's style Depech Mode meets the new millenium... a very unique sound and style... including the vocalist which I am assuing is you... I can see your music talking the world over...
Between your composition's and Pete's, you have inspired me to finish writing my music....

Taki

taki,
i'm anticipating hearing your compositions.
please e-mail me letting me know once you've posted something.
while listeninmg to pete's, in addition to an appreciation of the movements themselves, i got in the mood to clean the house - a chore i normally detest - so that's agood thing, right?
if i had his 4 movements on CD, this house would be spotless.
curious to see what your muse has brewed up.

Well Gents, This is not my composition, of course, but I figure since we are Greek and since my compositions are limited for the time being and I got in the mood to record this morning while practicing, I place a composition of Mikis Theodorakis. This particular composition is not played very often anywhere and rarely heard. Plus, I picked this particular piece, because I used to play it about 10 years ago with an extremely talented musician/bouzouki player, George Sofos, which made me think about my bouzouki club life I used to do. By the way, George plays the hell out of this piece.... Anyway, enjoy Mikis music. A few informational tid-bits... this was played on a Roland RD-500 piano keyboard that is an older keyboard where a few notes' sensitivity is out of whack.... I hope to get more musicians here on the forum to place more Greek style of music, so we can learn from each other.... Taki www.thestigmaband.com/AggelouXwra.htm

George used to play in So. California years ago. Where did you guys play? I used to play at Athenian Gardens in Hollywood from roughly 1989-1999. There were a few great bouzouki players, Danny, Elias Gitsis, Hristo Zervas, Yiannis Zervas, Moraitis, to name a few.

Taki, I love this piece! Nice playing. Danny and I play it all the time. I used to do it with a guy named Lambros who was second bouzouki to Lemonopoulos.

Thank you for the compliment Pete...
As for playing with George, I played with him over 10 years ago. In Chicago, it was a place called the Greek Village.... it still open on Halstead street, but under a different name... then we went together to Florida and played in the Clearwater area for a while....
I played with Elias a couple of times also, I believe in Chicago too, during those touring days of mine. The other guys, other than seeing Danny on your website, I do not know....
I have heard Xristo play in Miami, and he is very good. I know his cousin well too, Niko Zervas... good guy and a monster keyboardist...
Well, off to play at my once a week club gig...

Taki,
that would take some keyboard players 10 years to learn, let alone playing it after a 10 year break ...
